Getting started with Kwoat

Kwoat lets you use every major AI model from one place. This guide walks you through creating an account, sending your first message, and understanding the basics.

1. Create your account

Go to kwoat.ai and click Start free. You can sign up with:

  • Google — fastest, one click
  • GitHub — good for developers
  • Email + password — standard signup

No credit card is required. Every new account gets a small starter balance — enough to send a few messages and explore the platform.

2. Send your first message

Once logged in you land in the chat interface. Type your message in the input box at the bottom and press Enter or click the send button.

By default, Auto mode is enabled. Kwoat analyses your message and picks the best model automatically. You don't need to choose a model — just ask.

You'll see the model name and cost below each response so you always know what you're using and what it costs.

3. Choose a model manually

Click the model selector at the bottom left of the chat input to choose a specific model. Models are grouped by tier: Standard (fast, affordable), Advanced (more capable), and Premium (most powerful — Claude Sonnet and Opus on Pro/Pro Max).

See the model comparison guide for a full breakdown.

4. Understand your balance

Your balance is shown in the top right corner of the chat. There are two types:

  • Credits — monthly allocation included with Pro/Pro Max. Split into Standard, Advanced, Premium, and Video pools. Resets each billing cycle.
  • Wallet — prepaid balance you top up manually. Used for Pay As You Go and for overage when Pro/Pro Max credits run out. Never expires.

Free users get a one-time starter balance. When it runs out, top up your wallet to continue on Pay As You Go, or upgrade to Pro for a monthly credit allocation.

5. Use the + menu

Click the + button in the chat input to access additional features:

  • Add files or photos — PDF, Word, Excel, images, code files, and more
  • Web search — search the live web and include results in your prompt
  • From URL — paste any URL and Kwoat fetches and analyses the content
  • Deep research — multi-step research pipeline with synthesised report
  • Generate image — create images from text descriptions
  • Generate video — create short cinematic clips from text

6. Use voice

  • Voice input — click the microphone icon to speak your message. Kwoat transcribes it in real time. Click again to stop and send.
  • Voice live mode — a real-time two-way voice conversation with the AI. Click the voice wave icon to start. Available on PayG, Pro, and Pro Max.

7. Compare models

Click the Compare button on any AI response to run the same prompt through multiple models simultaneously. An AI judge evaluates all responses and highlights the best one. Useful for finding which model works best for your needs.

8. Connect integrations

Go to Settings → Integrations to connect GitHub, Google Drive, and Notion. Once connected, the AI can read your repositories, files, and pages when you ask it to — no copy-pasting needed.

9. Manage your sidebar

The left sidebar has everything you need:

  • New Chat — start a fresh conversation
  • Missions — agent missions hub (Pro Max)
  • Projects — named workspaces with shared context
  • Recent — your last 25 conversations
  • More — Gallery, Wallet, Usage analytics

10. Explore Projects

Click + next to Projects to create a named workspace. Add instructions (a background context the AI always sees) and sources (files, URLs, text snippets) that get injected into every conversation in the project. Great for ongoing client work, codebases, or research topics.
